701 Firmware Update
ATTN: CW-701 terminal must be power off before all steps.
Open windows "super terminal".
Start—All programs—Accessories—Communication—Super terminal.
Step 1: Open Super Terminal
Open Super Terminal
Step 2: Enter Connection Name
Step 3: Choose the COM you used for firmware update
Step 4: Choose bit/s
Step 5: Choose Data flow control to "none"
Step 6: Confirm
Optional Step (only for catching data sent from terminal, used for engineer's debug): Choose "Transfer – Catch Data", choose output file.
Step 7: Connect firmware cable to terminal & PC.
Step 8: Press "Ctrl + B" to go to main menu.
Step 9: After press "Ctrl + B", you will see the following screen:
Choose 3, then press ENTER, then choose 0
Press ENTER
Right click mouse, & choose "send file".
Choose the firmware file,
Choose protocol as Xmodem
Click send
When firmware update finished, you will see the following info:
Choose Y
Firmware update finished
801 Firmware Update
1. Connect firmware cable to PC COM & 801 main board (pay attention to the connector side, can not be opposite). Make sure 801 is power off (include battery)
2. Run Flash430 V2.92.exe, choose the COM you are using, other settings use default, import firmware file, then click "Start". As following picture:
3. Turn on power of 801
4. Wait until update finish ("Start" button will be available again)
How to make 801 firmware cable
Firmware cable connects to 801 main board:
RX: Pin2, TX: Pin3
GND: Pin4, 5
Pin 3 & Pin 6 connect together (conducted)
Another side of firmware cable connects to PC COM.
LCD Firmware Update
1. Connect firmware cable to PC COM & LCD's USB port. Make sure LCD is power off.
2. Run STC-ISP V35.exe, choose the COM you are using, other settings same as picture. Click "Open File" to import firmware, then click "Download". As following picture:

3. Turn on power of LCD
4. Wait until update finish ("Download" button will be available again)
